Church of the Light
Building a Sacred Community
At Church of the Light, we know that inspiration opens hearts. An open heart is an open mind and an open mind is one that can practice tolerance, experience gratitude and feel the glory of God. It is our belief that God is present in all of us, but His active presence can only be felt through faith in Him. We are dedicated to the service of God and all his people, and our goal is to inspire you through the holiness of our dwelling and our services. We invite you to become a part of our growing congregation.
About Our Church
With God’s help, we can do great things! At Church of the Light
, we strive to demonstrate the open, inclusive and accepting love of Jesus Christ. We pray, sing, study and worship in old ways and new, inviting families of all sorts – singles, couples, and children – to nurture their faith in a growing and vibrant congregation. We promote God’s justice and peace in our community. Not only do we believe in the teachings of the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ, we incorporate those of Christian Phd, Dr. Douglas as well.

Dr. Douglas
A Small Biography
Religious based historian, that uncovered an ancient scroll in Romania
Born in 1935 in rural Pennsylvania, Dr.Douglas always had a passion for studying the history of mankind. After completing his doctorate in archeology at Yale, Douglas set out on a life changing journey to Romania where he uncovered a series of ancient manuscripts. His scholarly research surrounding these artifacts provided the groundwork for an entirely new genre of study. The discovery provided a personal religious awakening for Douglas as well. He experienced a strong spiritual pull to one particular illuminated manuscript which had been in the possession of a notable family whose lineage connected them to some of the earliest extant Christians. This spiritual pull led him to Jesus and he felt called to spread the word of God. In 2003 he founded The Church of Light and we have been a thriving community devoted to worship ever since.
Dr.Douglas passed away peacefully on August 4th 2008 and joined Jesus in the kingdom of heaven. We miss him dearly but are devoted to continuing his teachings and spreading the light he left behind
